Acolyte of Chayula: Darkness Reservation vs Damage over Time
Acolyte of Chayula's Darkness mechanic does not behave according to its description when the character starts taking damage over time. Any damage over time taken by the character is always dealt to energy shield first, bypassing Darkness. At 0 energy shield, the DoT and Darkness will then behave in one of these 3 ways:
1. Upon energy shield being depleted, in *MOST* cases the Darkness pool will immediately (as in, within a single frame) drop to zero, that damage over time will start being dealt to life, and Darkness reservation will NEVER clear as long as that DoT is active. Once the DoT in question stops affecting the character, Darkness reservation clears within 5 seconds. 2. In other (rare) cases, after ES is depleted, the DoT won't be dealt to either life or Darkness, and will just prevent the ES from recharging. 3. VERY RARELY, the DoT will be dealt to Darkness (after ES is depleted) "normally", and Darkness reservation will be getting cleared individually for each tick of the DoT. No gear or passives changed between the videos being recorded and me submitting this, and the character has no damage taken amount/damage taken as/DoT mitigation modifiers except for poison immunity.
