Killed Kanu in Act 4, excavations, his death animation has already appeared, Hidden and Dorian appeared and in some unknown way I died, after respawning at the checkpoint now I can’t go further because Kanu is not there, there is only an animation of his death when re-entering or respawning at the checkpoint, the door does not open, but the task hangs Deal with Kanu and the First Herald

teleport to the city does not help, talking in the city with Hidden and Dorian does not help

I have the same bug. I killed Benedictus and died right after. The door won't open.
