Abyssal Lich - Steward of Kulemak passive crash bug

I just ascend to Abyssal Lich and wanna try out this passive to see the abyssal minion who casts spell. It doesn't work, at all.
Every time I use Profane Ritual to get a power charge, then cast a spell to consume that charge to create the steward, it crashes. It crashes every time, without fail.

Same. On any current skill that would repeat it crashes. Tried in vulkan and dx12. Also, does not seem to work with despair/doedre's undoing lineage support.
