Abyss Spawning in Special Boss Room

Just had a special boss map for Zahmir, the Blade Sovereign where the Abyss was spawned in the boss room.

You lose control of your character when entering this room to begin the fight; you cannot attack and are forced to walk up to the boss to trigger the fight, during this time the Abyss monsters are free to hit you.

This doesn't feel like it's intended?
