Persistent skills spirit bug (Blasphemy, Rhoa, Cast on Freeze, Called Shots etc.)

While playing around with Called Shots, I noticed a very annoying bug, preventing consistent use of buff supports on persistent skills. Searching online I found a post on reddit mentioning the exact same issue with other persistent skills (Rhoa, Cast on Freeze, Blasphemy). https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1hcuzwx/spirit_bug_says_not_enough_spirit_when_i_meet_all/ Replicating: For the purpose of testing I took out all other support gems from the buff/spirit skills. All buffs/skills were assigned to Weapon Set I only. 177 spirit: 100 base, 36 on armor (natural roll), 41 on amulet (abyss roll) Skills: 1. Herald of Thunder (30 spirit) + Deadly Herald (20 spirit) 2. War Banner (30 spirit) 3. Called shots (0 spirit) + Direstrike I (20 spirit) + Precision II (20 spirit) Total spirit used 120/177 - everything works. Tests: 1. Add Clarity I (or any other 10 spirit - or higher - support) to Called Shots, moving total cost to 130/177 - Called shots turns off with "Not enough spirit" error mark. 2. Add Clarity I (10 spirit) to Herald or War Banner, moving total to 130/177 - everything works. 3. Add Cannibalism I (15 spirit) to Herald or War Banner, moving total to 135/177 - everything works. 4. Add Clarity II (20 spirit) to Herald or War Banner, moving total to 140/177 - Called shots turns off. 5. Take off amulet (-41 spirit), moving total to 120/136 - Called Shots turns off. 6. Take off chest (-36 spirit), moving total to 120/141 - Called Shots turns off. 7. Take off chest, and Deadly Herald support, moving total to 100/141 - everything works. 8. Take off amulet, and Deadly Herald support, moving total to 100/136 - Called Shots turns off. 9. Take off all the buffs from all persistent skills. Add Precision II, Clarity II, Thornskin II, Cannibalism II to Herald, moving total to 170/177 - everything works. 10. Scenario 9, but move one of the buffs from Herald to Called Shots - Called Shots turns off. 11. Take off both chest and amulet, moving spirit to 100. Take off all buffs. Add Clarity II and Precision II to Herald, moving total to 100/100 spirit - everything works. 12. Scenario 11, but move either of the buffs to Called Shots - Called Shots turns off. It's possible to shuffle the buffs around in Hideout, to a scenario in which some of the buffs are on Called Shots, work and the spirit reserved checks out. However moving to a map immediately breaks it and then it cannot be consistently fixed in map. This is not just a visual error - you will observe that Called Shots fades out. Conclusion Adding persistent buffs to Persistent skills like Called shots breaks the persistent skill's interaction with Spirit reservation. GGG either needs to fix the skill(s) or prevent players from adding buff supports to them. Last bumped on Sep 7, 2025, 11:58:17 PM

Same problem here but with minions as a persistent skill. There's some kind of spirit calculation going wrong where I randomly run out of spirit and drop 2 minions, then it reappears when I go back to hideout. If I unequip and re-equip my rattling sceptre I get the missing 2 minions back.
