Runic book of Knowledge not available

I am experiencing an issue that I see a few other players have echoed on the forums as well. “The Grand Quest” where you need to get the runic book of knowledge during an expedition on maps where Dannig appears is not triggering. When I ran into him he had the golden exclamation point over his head, but when I talked to him he just gave me a tablet and the quest still said to collect the runic book of knowledge from him. I have did multiple expeditions and tried everything I can think of since then, but nothing is working to get that first runic book.

I have the same issue, only I need to ask him about the monsters.

It is worth noting that, for me, I got a Logbook on my first expedition in a map, so when I went to talk to Dannig, it's possible that the dialogue skipped as he was very excited about me having the logbook.

I am also having this problem. I got the runic book, and I think I used it (it's consumable) before talking to Dannig the first time. I've seen him again in expeditions, but when I talk to him I don't have a book to turn in.

This is a very annoying bug and I hope they fix it.
