Despair won't work

Despair is not working. After visual effect, enemies are not cursed.

Can confirm, I have been casting in several times during a fight (Yama), I'm sure I've hit the boss several times (regarding the placement of the curse), but the boss doesn't have the despair debuff.

Same issue here.

Noticed it randomly the other day. Not sure if it started happening at a certain level or what, because my Despair curse WAS working for a while. Now like others are saying, the animation goes off but no one gets cursed. I thought maybe it was just visual at first, but they don't seem to take increased chaos damage either.

For me, Despair doesn't activate only on weapon set II. The animation goes off but no enemies are cursed

I checked and indeed, running the t14 map and having despair at level 15 + 10 from the inventory does not put a curse on swap weapon 2, I went to the map with the story at level 64 lvl and there swap weapon 2 works normally and puts a curse, wtf xd

edit: I used uncut gem lvl 18 and on t14 maps the curse works on two sets of weapons, strange, because previously it worked on 1 set of weapons and not on 2

I've found the cause: we all probably have +skills on wand/focus on set I. When we change the curse to set 2 only, the gem level drops and no longer applies to enemies, because their level is too high.

For example: area lvl 64 in the interlude. My Despair gem is lvl 14 (11 pure gem +2 from the wand, +1 from passive Dark Entries) It states "Curse does not apply to enemies above level 72"

I change it to only use set 2 with the cast speed staff. The gem level drops to 12 (11 pure gem +1 from Dark Entries) Now it says "Curse does not apply to enemies above level 61" and it's not possible to curse enemies in area level 64.

So the issue is that Despair drops in level too much to apply to the area we are in when swapping weapons.

My despair curse doesnt work on the chiming staff but it does work on my wand focus. I was trying to set up 2 weapon set passives.

edit I tried it with a different staff and the curse still doesnt work it consume the mana has animation and everything but no effect on the target.
