REVIVING NOT WORKING ON PS5 CONSOLE

Is this currently bugged? Me and a buddy both play and Playstation 5 and since update neither of us can revive each other. Any help or thoughts on why its doing so would be appreciated as its ruining the coop experience. Oh and yes we know to hold down the button to revive its simply not working
