Character stuck cannot play anymore / Isle of Kin

Used the boat to travel to Isle of Kin and getting disconnected and i cannot reconnect to my char, the game always crash when i reconnect

I am experiencing the same. character cannot be successfully logged into anymore. it crashing during load every time. also Isle of Kin

Reporting that I am also experiencing the issue, game crashes during loading screen character stuck in isle of kin.

Hold Ctrl while pressing the "Play" button in the character selection menu to travel to town.

hmm, doesn't seem to work. still locked out character after days, too.

Although according to the patch notes for 0.3.0 it should be "while selecting a character":

"

You are now able to log directly into town or hideout by holding Ctrl while selecting a character (or Left-trigger + A/X when using a Controller).

but I've tested it myself and only on holding Ctrl while pressing the "Play" button the popup "Login to town or hideout" appears (of cause only for characters not currently in town or hideout).
