Game crash on character selesction POE2

Whenever I click on play and where I could choose characters, I imidietly get an error:

Error loading type
Metadata/Items/Armours/Shields/Uniques/MeritOfService/MeritOfServiceHeld": Error:
Metadata/Items/Armours/Shields/Uniques/MeritOfService/MeritOfServiceHeld.ao is non-virtual and does not ahave a physical file

Vector too long

I tried to do verification of in game files from Steam, didnt help, I also tried to re-install the game and didnt help as well.

Anyone knows how to fix it ?

There is a workaround, not really a fix, if you spam arrow key up or down, you will ju,p from character that does not have the shield equiped on him and will give you the chance to play that character without the shield/ create new char

I only have one character, so it's locked on that 1 character. Can GGG please delete the character or remove the item?
