Mercs should be unaffected by "Players and their Minions"

Mercenaries are neither players nor minions, so they should be unaffected by the t17 mod "Players and their Minions deal no damage for 3 out of every 10 seconds". Last bumped on Aug 27, 2025, 12:26:51 AM

" That's a bold claim to stake... Party scaling is only affected by players - mercenaries contribute to this (albeit at 50% effectiveness). Passive trees are only available to players - mercenaries have these, allocate points on them as they level, and can thus have passives anointed through equipment. So on and so forth. Mercenaries aren't players - but they're also not not players, and you're being a bit fast and loose with the facts when you try flatly saying that one or the other is always correct. Knowing GGG, it is not a surprise that there being advantages to mercenaries being considered players - albeit, on a part-time basis - is accompanied by there similarly being downsides to them being considered player-lites. GGG are not in the habit of offering a free lunch. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

Haha. They are most broken thing that ever added to PoE, but people still want more. Why not change the title of topic to "Mercs should one shot everything" :D
