Support/Skill Gem Suggestion

Since we're constantly getting more support gems and more skill gems that are extremely interesting and offer a lot of interesting build paths for diversity; will we ever see us getting more support gem slots for our skills and also more skill gem slots to equip to our character so we can have even more skills to work with for more combo potential? I can see how that could potentially start giving us some power creep that maybe GGG wants to avoid, but i think it could be interesting if they're wanting to go for more of this combo stacking and build diversity philosophy.
