PSA Debuff Decoding

Hey guys,

Long time player here. I have set out on a mission to know why I am dieing and as we all know, POE doesn't do a great job of explaining or recapping death. I decided to do 30 second screen captures, open the video, screen shot the debuff and put this into ChatGPT. Oh boy, game changer. Not only does it tell you what killed you, but tells you the complete cocktail and goes further, if asked, to tell you how to make sure it can't happen again.

That said, I know it's quite a few steps - but my hope is that I will be able to just learn all of the icons of death and defeat for myself relying on AI less and less.

Thought I would share - It only took me about 8,000 hours of gameplay. Usually, I would just reroll and go again. Anyway, thought I would share for those looking for a nice easy way to learn more about death and strategies to avoid death in your pursuit of 100.

If anyone knows of an overlay AI tool that does this same concept automatically please let me know.

ChatGPT got 1 out of 3 - the one on the far right is bleed, not vulnerability.

Do not rely too much on AI for any gameplay help.

Edit: use the wiki https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Path_of_Exile_Wiki for help - it does have all of that type of information.

The second debuff is lightning exposure which lowers your lightning resistance. This does not affect the damage from corrupted blood in any way.

The third debuff is a regular bleed, a physical dot which once again does not affected corrupted blood.

You could've died from bleed, corrupted blood or a large lightning hit while being not capped on lightning res. Analyzing just the debuffs does not give you an answer.

ChatGPT and all other AI sources are NOT going to teach you the game. They'll feed you wrong information that you'll have to unlearn.

ChatGPT and AI in general is garbage for POE. Every single post that tries to show how great it is always shows that AI never knows what its talking about with this game.
