Boss Health Bar Options, and other overlapping indicators.
It's overlapping the buff icons.
I think it has been a good implementation, but it is not more important than other information. There are a lot of threads I have seen about this, as well as on reddit etc. I do not see a current thread on the forum, so I'm bringing it up again. Please advise if there is an ongoing discussion and I will comment there instead. eg. -Archived thread https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3536528 There seems to be a growing amount of information in the game that is overlapping with other things. Another example of this is buttons for content in the bottom right of the game UI that overlap. There has also been mentions on the forum of clickable functions that overlap and prevent players from interacting with things in the game environment. I don't have a good solution to this, it is all useful information and buttons, but having things overlapping on top of each other is not a good design. It's great that all these things have been added, largely because more content has been made, but it is starting to become cluttered. In terms of the Boss health bar, I don't see a far better place to put it, but I think it needs an option to bring the buff icons to the front if the player wishes. Alternatively, more control over the buff icons, so the important ones are on the left and not obscured. This may be a band-aid solution, but until there is a better solution to the clutter obscuring information that it is on top of, options for this may be better. An example of where it is a problem in the gameplay. I'm currently using Unholy might on block. I can not see when the buff is up, because the icon is behind the boss bar. The boss bar is also useful information, but if that is behind the icons, I will be able to see both. In some case, people will prefer the boss bar on top, so it seems like an option would be best as a place holder for something better. Perhaps making the bar smaller and thinner is an option. It might enable having it slightly lower then, though there is not really much room below before it starts to obscure the gameplay vision. The same goes for non boss enemies. They are less of a problem though, because they are much smaller and mouseover. The boss bar being so big does not increase the information to the player. It probably does need to be permanent since the boss is offscreen sometimes, but if some people want it to be that large, maybe that is another case for an option. Rare mobs don't obscure the icons until you get up around 13 buffs, but the bosses do at around about 6, so this would be overlapping for most players. Again, choosing which buffs are priorities on the left might be an option, through a drag and drop ordering. Maybe having one of these down the bottom above the XP bar is also an option, and moving the temporary icons for character points over toward the life pool indicator. That space doe not seem to be getting used for much. It may not be preferable for people who like to look up to see buffs, but may be another place where an option is possible. The debuffs do not often get as many built up as the buffs. Maybe that needs to go on the top row, even if it looks a bit strange. I think people want to be looking in the same place for these rather than 2 locations. Enemy information at the xp bar might be an option or LHS. Perhaps someone has a better idea they can suggest?
