Bugged Niko's Mine quest after dying in Hardcore

Basically after dying in hardcore mode (not the issue here) I can no longer access the mines to try out Niko's Mission. Every time I try to teleport via the waypoint or use the option to move via Niko, it says I "Do not have the required quest state"

What to do?

Delve's quest state is shared among characters within a league. You would have the correct state on a new character in Hardmode, but your dead character (now in Standard) does not.

If you do another Niko encounter with your character in Standard, you should be able to continue the quest afterward. I don't think this character can get another guaranteed encounter in Act 4, though, so you'll have to wait for a random encounter.

Okay, so... how do I run into Niko again? Just run around in the same area I did the first "Fine four mineral stashes" thing or something?

That's a guaranteed encounter the first time a character runs that area, which I don't think your character will get again. There's no harm in checking the first level of the Mines again, though.

You should feel free to progress through the campaign as normal. You're likely to run into Einhar and Niko again as you progress through the story.
