Several skill gems "broken" and are not displaying details, cannot be used

Once a gem is "broken" it will not give attack stat details (may state "This information is currently unavailable") or will it allow you to select weapon swap skill sets. 1 or 2. Therefor, there is no way to equip the gem and allocate it to a specific skill key.

This happened most recently to me with LA and Wind Serpent's Fury, but has happened to other skills in the past, like Rolling Slam and Earthquake.

The only remedy seems to be to create a whole new skill gem. Which doesn't seem like a reasonable solution since perfect jewelers orbs aren't cheap.

Anyone else experience this or have a "simple" fix for it?
