T1 suffix on a Tier 2 spear
I droped a Rare Massive Spear (Tier 2) on a map, it was Unidentified (Tier 2).
I used a Scroll of Wisdom on it and it became the folowing item: Item Class: Spears Rarity: Rare Sorrow Edge Massive Spear -------- Physical Damage: 38-70 Critical Hit Chance: 5.00% Attacks per Second: 1.50 -------- Requires: Level 62, 44 Str, 110 Dex -------- Item Level: 65 -------- Grants Skill: Spear Throw -------- +167 to Accuracy Rating 63% increased Elemental Damage with Attacks Gain 50 Life per Enemy Killed Causes 68% increased Stun Buildup 15% increased Light Radius One of the suffixes is "of Radiance" (Tier: 1), adding +59 to Accuracy Rating and 15% increased Light Radius. Can someone explain how a Tier 1 suffix is on my previously Unidentified (Tier 2) item? Last edited by Franiz#5769 on Aug 17, 2025, 9:14:56 AM Last bumped on Aug 18, 2025, 4:05:55 AM

I don't get it, op?
What is the problem? The tier items means that an item will roll above a certain affix tier. It doesn't mean it has a ceiling. Lets say that for a Tier 2 item, the lowest affix tier you could get is a tier 6 roll (this is just an example, idk if this is the real rule). But it can go from tier 6 to tier 1. And lets say that for a tier 3 item the lowest affix tier would be a tier 4 roll... and so it goes, it could roll from a tier 4 to a tier 1 affix. Did you get it? Edit: Also, its a Tier 2 item, so the lowest tier in the tier items. So yes, it can get the affix you got. Last edited by Rishon#0212 on Aug 17, 2025, 9:28:34 PM

In PoE2, aren't the tiers the other way around? (T1 being the worst)
From what I understand, items not identified with a Tier description should only have modifiers from their Tier and above. Am I wrong? |

" They have ONE guaranteed modifier of that tier, can still roll all of the tiers. Higher tier (T1 lowest to T5 highest) on gears/weapons is best, lower tier on modifiers is best (from T1 best to T12 the worst) There were some reports on tier 1 modifiers still being the worst tho, dont know if they fixed this issue.
