I took a break for 4 weeks because of how bad the constant dcs and crashes were

Then literally 5 minutes into being on again, the game disconnects twice.

Is this just going to be the new normal going forward with POE servers in Australia??

Well, the company MIGHT be a little too far away to play in Australia... :)

Australian user here - no issues at all, so it is not the Australian servers. The route that your connection to the servers takes is probably different to mine.

This is likely the correct answer. More often than not it is the routing between you and the servers. I've had that for the longest time (I'm talking 3+ years) in EU across several games and services until I've had enough and put fire under my ISP's ass.

I documented everything including detailed traceroutes and for me it was always either Telia or Twelve99. Miraculously, after threatening to terminate my contract, my ISP tried super hard and my connection has been rock solid since.

It is always worth a try.

Hmmm I domt even know what to do hey. Prior to this league I have NEVER had any problems. Then we had the really bad dc ("ddos") spree a month back, and its just not gotten better again...

Several things can be true at once, remember that - and coincidences happen. Sometime is wiser to try different things before blaming everything on one basket.

I guess because on my end, its no different now to what it was a few weeks back where ggg claimed to be getting ddos, so that was my only reference point

Try see if it happens in other games as well. If it doesnt, then its certainly poe not your pc.

Although i havent experienced any DC into rollbacks pass the first month of the league, the last 2 days theres some severe lag spikes going on on Europe servers.

Thats pointing out that they are downgrading the servers again for poe2 obviously

It doesnt happen for anything else, even poe2. Its just poe, which sucks as its still my favourite game :/
