Artillery ballista itemization is lacking.
So I really like playing artillery ballista build. One of the issues I have with it though is itemization, especially with the weapon. At the moment the only stats on a crossbow that in any way affect the damage of your totems is elemental damage with attacks and weapon skills.
What this introduces is a very simple and boring way to get your best weapon. Once you've got your max + skill and near max + ele skill any new crossbow is kinda pointless to even look at. No other build I'vev played has had this issue at this level. And none of the implicits does anything for the totems either. Feels weird having a totem dedicated to only using one type of weapon and then that weapon having barely any stats that affect your totems at all. Maybe add dedicated totem bases and pre/suffixes to crossbows? Last bumped on Aug 16, 2025, 2:27:45 AM

the totem warrior is even worse with this. the whole +skills mods should be completely removed from weapons, and totems should not be using 'their own weapon'

Agreed, not a fan of + skills on weapons too, makes any weapon not having the roll useless(disregarding VERY niche builds that don't want higher skill).
Also agreed on using their own weapon part. Feels like a lackluster way of not having to handle item balance for totems. |

Not to mention that in a weapon swap build ballista lose every single bonus when you swap.
In a xbow/bow build with your crossbow having %130ele damage and +7 projectiles when you place the totem and to swap to bow it will lose/ignore stats from crossbow and get 0 benefit from the bow, since it's a crossbow skill.
