Simple but genius fix to Atlas in POE2

Ok so the feedback is that the elusive triple tower radius stack is completely horrible and you know what? I agree!
I have a simple but brilliant fix to this.
Each tower buffs YOUR map device. It provides charges, say for example 8-15 charges per tower completion (the buffs are your tablets, that system is fine) and each map opened through your device consumes a charge and buffs the map with the active buffs from the tablet. Furthermore this buffs can stack up to 3 times, however each buff has its own charges.

That way you can still bee-line to towers to get as many buffs to your mapping as possible, but without having the repulsive search for triple tower radius.

This change makes EVERY map interesting to play.

Something like your proposal would indeed be more pleasant then stacking towers.
So we've essentially reinvented Sextants but this time with extra steps?

It sounds like it could be an improvement, but I'm not sold in it either. If you're doing it this way, why not just let me juice every map individually the way I want? Maybe some consumable I can slot into the map device along the map to add mechanics and encounters and difficulty? :P I'll try whatever they do, but I'll be a hard sell for anything that didn't function like scarabs and let me juice every single map exactly as much as I want to every single time. Which means I'm not sure what purpose towers serve, especially when I don't like the infinite atlas at its core even before the towers and juicing tedium.

Your idea is better, but it still doesn't make literally every map interesting. There's still gonna be some downtime pathing here and there. Also, a benefit i really love of Scarabs is being able to switch strategies whenever I want. Your suggestion here would be locking me into a specific strat until I used up all those tower buffs. Not the end of the world, but giving players as much agency as possible is what makes 1 feel so good to play.

no the current tower mechanic is sextants, what OP wants is scarabs. it will not make every map interesting to play, it will allow you to chain maps with best layouts/density for max stonks. it's a boring 'solution'
we need more interactions/agency with the atlas, not less
Transform a towers into the rockets of the lost civilization and let us launch and land them wherever we want!...

Where is my meds?....

Feels a lot closer to sextants than scarabs to me. Sextants give a buff for x number of maps that then runs out. Which is exactly this suggestion right? Scarabs affect a single map. That's all just semantics though. If they implemented this I'd take it as an interim improved solution but probably still not be overall satisfied.
Simple and genius fix is to make spawn towers 10-15% often, not more because after last fix they are already quite common. And this system already works fine. Yes, there is sometimes some nodes are not that juicy, then others thus you can place in them way more difficult maps with way greater rewards. Simple and genius already.

It's a good idea. And here I pose another idea, about what really bothers me about the Atlas Map: Its Infinite Size.

"DIVIDE THE ATLAS MAP INTO ZONES, like Continents"

For Exemple: If I wanted to visit a city in Italy, like Rome, I would click on Europe. Then, all the countries in Europe would be shown. Among the different countries, I would click on Italy. And among the different cities in Italy, I would choose Rome (In Poe2's case, it would be a Forest full of Predators. Or why not? The ruins of a Roman Coliseum full of Ghost Warriors).

At first, there wasn't a problem with the Atlas, because there were only a few maps. But they have grown to hundreds, and it's a real mess. If you don't like the Continents example, think about the different Acts. Each Act has its zone, there's a certain order. Now more and more Acts can be added without it being a mess.

It's just an idea, but something needs to be done, because if the Atlas keeps growing, it will be frustrating to find a place in it.
A new tablet with multiplicative %

It could only buff other tablets on the same tower with "%More effect of socketed tablets" or it could have its own "% More" modifiers,

1. %More effect of socketed tablets:

We could use only 1 of these new tablet per influenced tower, meaning if 2 or more towers overlap each other we can only use 1, to avoid massive interactions between same tablets.

2. %More modifiers:

We could use only 1 of these new tablets per influenced area, meaning maps in range can only be affected by 1 of these tablet so in a 2 or more tower scenario we can only use 1 tablet to avoid massive boosts on the same map.

To be fair rule number 2 would be the best option for both cases to make maps in range only take benefits from 1 tablet at a time.
Their effect could be applied after all the %increased from other tablets and not applied to a base value (maybe too much? if it's too much then let it work with the bases we have already)

This will make even 2 tower setup a bit more appealing, even 1 tower will be better.
It will also partially remove the 3+ tower setup hunt from the beginning and make us play 2 towers setup too because they will be much better to farm in early endgame.

What if finishing a tower would allow you to morph and change the map itself.
I think i had a thread somewhere, hang on a sec.
