"almost" couch Co-Op

I want to play with my brother in couch co-op mode, we already played a little and everything worked perfectly.
Now we want to play in 2 different rooms, and I can share the screen thats easy, but I'd have to connect 1 controller in my pc and the other one in a second pc.

It's the same house, same LAN, but I know using third-party programs can cause problems (programs like parsec and such).

Is there any way to do it without breaking any rules? It's the same network, house and account. Looking around I found VirtualHere and USB/IP for streaming only the controller from pc to pc, screen I can do thorugh steam I guess, but I'm not sure how safe/legal it is.

It'll be nice to have some official response just to be safe. And also if anyone has some information about it!

pd: You guys rock! loved poe1 and now I'm loving poe2 too!
