Does playing in super-ultrawide still gets you banned?

Stopped playing after they implemented the ban notification for using the mod file that simply enables 32:9 a few months ago.
played more than 500 hours in 2 months right after release and have not touched the game since.

are there any news regarding 32:9 or am i better on forgetting about this game and the dev team.
