Crushing fist stopped working

I entered to play today with my retaliation build, the skill becomes available but I cannot trigger it. I tried changing to a different skill slot/key, but it still does not work. I tried a different realm and two different maps. Can't play that character now :(
I switched the skill to eviscerate, still no dice.
What might be the problem?

solved - removed my gear and re-equipped. Now it works.
