Item disappearing from inventory when trying to store in stash after completing a map.

For the last 2 days, I have been experiencing items disappearing from my inventory when I access my stash after completing a map. Usually, 1 item will randomly disappear from my inventory when I try to store it in my stash after completing a map. I'm doing the essence farm in the strand and the underground sea map. So far, nothing too valuable has been lost, but I'm afraid the day it might happen. Is anyone experiencing this problem, and is there anything that can be done?

Which stash tabs have affinities enabled?

In my experience, that doesn't really happen. Not saying for sure it isn't happening, but I think it is likely to be something as Sarno is suggesting. Probably not disappeared, but maybe sent to somewhere unexpected. Hard to say exactly without knowing how you have it set up and what the missing items are.

Looks like you have played a fair bit though. I'm assuming you have never encountered something like this before? Have you purchased any new tabs lately or made any changes to the setup, or playing in a different league than you usually do?

What kind of items? Currency, maps gear? Do you have any duplicate tabs?

I mean, to be fair, to this day I still get confused by where Unique Flasks and Unique Maps end up. :P

Yeah there are some things like that that have multiple places. There is also stuff that goes onto hidden tabs, like invitations. Shift clicking ctrl clicking options and such are more complex now. Can also force the items onto a space or generic tab in window you have open while clicking them across. Like the bottom of the currency tab.

Another thing, which I just thought of, is it can be going to affinities on another stash. Expedition, heist and possibly some other things have their own stash, that items can be directed to, when interacting with your main stash. So check those, if you have them and it's those kind of item that were lost. eg, rogue markers, contract, blueprint, logbook, refresh currency.

I agree it is probably there somewhere.

I recently dropped a bunch of locks on the ground in locus of corruption as a dumb luck ritual and after I picked them up and finished the map, couldnt find them anywhere. I checked every tab a dozen times, losing my mind. Finally decided it must have been a small server rollback and I had lost 800d because my dumb ass wanted to worship poe satan.

Then I went to do another map and they were sitting in the mini stash on the map device haha

Yeah that's true, when they do those rollbacks that is one time when people do loose items they have recently been gathered. That does seem to be happening in some places lately with the DDOS problems. I have never encountered that, but I would think in that case you would loose everything in a recent timespan, rather than just a couple of items. You would notice the disconnects if that is happening. Probably need to provide some further information about what has disappeared.

Random items so far, from chaos orbs to essences to scout...

I finished a map, opened my stash tab to store loot, and as soon as the stash tab opened, one random item disappeared from my inventory before I even clicked anything to store. It's not a matter of affinity or anything because all those things require action, i.e, clicking. And I have never encountered this particular bug before and searching around the forum I haven't found anyone with this exact problem which makes it quite strange to say the least.

All those things required action i.e clicking. The random item disappearing happened as soon as I opened my stash tab before I ever click anything to store.
