We are once again, asking for the removal of proximity shields in blight.

I have 150 million to 300 million dps. Some blight maps i just can't complete because i have to enter a proximity shield containing 200 mobs and 10 bosses while my screen is flickering, freezing and at 5 fps to do damage and it's just not possible. Proximity shields do not belong in the current game on blight.

Agreed, it does seem like a ridiculous mechanic specifically in blight since most of the blight "by design anyway" is to utilize towers to kill the mobs.

I could see maybe if they compromised here with a new modifier which would "replicate" what a proximity shield does, for example maybe making it like (20% chance for attacks/spells/tower things to be dodged).

Are you farming blights in 16.5 I'm guessing from the 5fps and flickering you mentioned,?

A simple fix, in my opinion, would be the towers' damage bypassing the proximity shield, but the shield still affecting the player's damage output.

But the community spent almost a decade complaining about this, and I think the devs don't even care at this point.
Here's how I managed to go around this problem. I do have millions DPS as well, but I activated the Atlas' notable: Cassia's Pride. 25% of my dmg is more than enough to obliterate monsters if I have to, but 300%+ dmg for the towers is very handy since the monsters have to go and pass through them anyways.

Anointing the map with Sepia Oil (since it's cheap) helps as well.
Another thing I do is to allocate Flamethrower Towers on intersections, since it deals high dmg without being a projectile.

I think GGG planned the league to be balanced this way, instead of a player having billions of dmg and towers doing nothing.
