LED light strip script incompatible with POE

Hello,

This is very strange and I don't know how to debug it, but I wrote a python script for my LED monitor backlight strip. It works perfectly fine except for when I start up POE:

Shortly after I login and start playing, the script would throw an error that the usb port on which the strip is plugged into cannot be found, and POE simultaneously crashes and takes me back to the login screen.

I guess you would only need to hove something plugged into the COM3 port to test this, it doesn't have to be a LED strip.

I absolutely don't see what running POE has to do with sending data to a usb port, and why would one thing cause the other to crash.

Please help!

I haven't gone over your code yet, but just off the top of my head it could be related to PoE controller detection. Perhaps try turning the autodetection off.

I tried disabling it and it didn't help. Still crashing.
