Failed to connect to instance

Can you tell me how to play this game? You're covering up the map very heavily and expensively, and you're putting in very expensive scarabs. portals open and you can't access the map. This game is worse than a casino. At least the casino gives you some kind of gameplay. The same game just takes away resources and punches you in the face.
