Omen of blanching locking up game

When I used an omen of blanching, the game would freeze for 10+ seconds. The third time I did so, it did not unfreeze the image; I could hear the game going on in the background and when I hotkeyed a quit out to login screen, I could hear the main menu theme but the visuals where stuck on the moment right after I used the omen.

Check client log for any errors. My first guess is to run PackCheck/Steam Integrity for corrupted files. Worst case full reinstall and see if that resolves it.
