Shared Pantheon souls

Hello there.
I can't understand this, I've killed the boss with another character last night, then forget to retrieve the vessel and today I've used it with this other character and got this.

My first thought was that the Pantheon is not account-wide anymore, but that's not the case since I checked i have other souls in every character... so what happened? Is it a bug or inttended? If not a bug, then... Why?

Pantheons are shared by characters within a league, yes.

However, you are able to disable pantheon upgrades for a specific character by recapturing the pantheon. That's what happened here: you captured and used a boss soul with the upgrade active, which disables that upgrade for this character until this character captures and uses the boss soul again.


The main reason I can think of for this function is Chill. The Brine King upgrade "50% reduced effect of Chill on you" is helpful for most builds, but detrimental to some--they use Winterweave to reverse the effect of Chill on them, so they don't want the Chill's effect to be reduced.

I suppose it might also be helpful for people doing league start practice runs, but I'm not sure if it's viewed as more trouble than it's worth there.
