Firefox trade website, certain notification sounds not working

The notification sounds on the trade website are not working, except for the gong sound. All others (have not tested custom sound) are not working on Firefox. On Chrome however every sound does seem to be working.
The browser shows an icon of playing a sound but nothing comes through. I have tried sound settings on windows/firefox but nothing worked. I looked at permissions for the POE website but nothing worked there either. I couldn't find anything online about this issue unfortunately. Last bumped on Jul 12, 2025, 2:21:27 PM

I'd imagine they'd be using standard APIs to do something as simple as playing audio files.
Have you tried going to https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/settings & purging the cache there in Firefox? Has your testing revolved around hearing the sound upon changing it on that page, or in regular use? If the latter, has this tended to be when the Trade Site is the tab with focus, or is a background tab? Which version of the Windows OS & Firefox are you using? I'm working on something for the PoE community! 👀

" The sound doesn't work in neither, so when i live search the sounds do not work, only the gong, as well as when im in the settings tab. Both when the tab is in focus and not, the sound will not play. I have also tried the clear cache, but that did not seem to do anything either. I am on Firefox 140.0.4 (64bit), which Firefox says is up to date. I am on Windows 11 version 10.0.26100 Build 26100 |
