Echo of reverence bug

a friend needed help with boss he was outside of the map when i killed it
no loot was dropped from the boss when it died. Quest colourful roses is still on my screen with Bring the blue rose to the incarnation of dread. which i did do before i killed it

Echoes follow 2 rules that I've seen so far:
1. Area must not be cursed if it is from an Eagon tear that was previously failed. If cursed, no rewards when killed but allows for new tears to spawn.
2. Map owner must be in the instance when loot generates. If they just need a boss carry, then either get the boss low before killing or have them die at the start and beat it with 2-player scaling.
