Particle buildup in Atziri's Temple

After entering Atziri's temple, and exploring for a bit, I took a 15 minute break, pressing escape to pause the game. When I came back, the screen was covered in red streaks, and when I unpaused the game, the particles took about 5 seconds to go away, which blocked the screen, causing me to get damaged by nearby enemies. If I wasn't as tanky as I was, I would have died.

I believe this is because in Atziri's temple, there are little particle streaks to give it its atmosphere. But when it's paused, they still come in, but don't disappear.

Though I only noticed it here, I imagine other locations with similar particles also experience the same thing. Please look into this. Thanks.
