Cannot put rings on my Mercenary

I just got a new mercenary, Vreka Idi. I am trying to equip her with better gear, but it will not allow me to replace her ring with any other ring I try. It goes red immediately when I insert the ring and says that "You cannot use this item. Its stats will be ignored." I've tried around 20 different rings of many different types with no success.

Any chance of a screenshot of their equipment?
I’d primarily be interested in any other unique items she may have equipped. I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent...

Sarno nailed it. I hadn't read the text on the other ring. It is the Thief's Torment, which doesn't allow you to use a 2nd ring. thanks!
