Tooltip issue with mirror clones and "You and Nearby Allies Deal 25% Increased Damage"?

I just crafted an epic bow for my Abhorrent Interrogation BAMA build. It's triple synth and one of the synth mods is "You and Nearby Allies Deal 25% Increased Damage". I figured it'd be epic, because during bossing, I summon three clones next to each other and stand there too, which would logically translate to 100% increased damage to each clone (25% from holding the bow, 25% from both other clones and 25% from me).

I just noticed that when I summon my mirror clones, my own damage doesn't increase in the tooltip.

1) Is the tooltip wrong?
2) Does this not work like I thought it would?
3) If this doesn't work like I thought it would, is that intentional?
