Poor drops in Threads of the Originator?

This is not to whine; I seriously don't understand how this happened. I might just be cosmically unlucky (which is fine), but it smells like there's some mechanical thing going on.

I'm playing through Threads of the Originator. In Courtyard of Wasting, I just beat it. However, the loot drop was ridiculously low, which is why I believe there may be some weird things going on in the machinery.

Understand how it seems fishy?

Some things that may going on deliberately:
- I tried the map before, but didn't beat it. Maybe it spawns less enemies this time, remembers what you killed? They did seem less dense save the delirium mirror.
- On that note - there was a delirium mirror, that may have fudged with the resident monster spawns.
- I might just be cosmically unlucky.

However, I believe I also used Fortune Favors the Brave (upgraded from the Atlas Passive Tree, too) and the Delirium Mirror was the only added content I could identify in the map.

Furthermore I ended up with 17 petals in two different stacks - Memory of Desire, and Memory of Suspicion - where the former requires a stack of 40 to activate, and the latter a stack of 30. That was the petals I could find.

It is all really strange. There has to be something going on.

Area is cursed modifier is added when you fail one of those maps. Allows you to finish the tear, but with less loot and much lower chance for mechanics to spawn, even if you force them with scarabs.

Prevents people from intentionally failing the map and essentially having a free T16.5 map to run infinitely, but still lets them finish their current tear. Should probably be named something else besides "cursed" as there's dozens of these reports already.

Thank you so much for the explanation, it was really confusing! Spent a bunch of resources on the map, too. Not really a big deal, just good to hear it's intentional.

It'd be nice if they explained it somewhere, but I guess it's just what it's like with PoE :P
