Gold skill respec rolling over and negating cost.

I have 9,068 gold in my inventory. I went to respec 3 skill points at faustus, and I noticed that the predicted gold amount remaining that shows at the top of the screen had rolled over to the maximum amount possible. I hit respec to see what would happen. It let me respec the 3 points and the gold amount remained at 9068. The three skill points were all allocated to a cluster jewel at the top right position of the tree. I had just logged in and went straight from town to my hideout before doing the respec.
