Buying first MTX skin

I am looking at buying my first MTX skin, which will cost ~100$ CAN. However, I am torn between the starfell or nightfell colours and I can only afford one. Is there any way to test or put together a character with the MTX I want via 3rd party website? Or is it possible to receive a refund if I am not happy with the colour I choose.
