WHERE ARE MY MERC ITEMS???? (EDIT: FIXED)

I geared my main merc with 20DIV+ worth of items.
I played 1 week, I notice oh thats the 83 infamous kineticist I dont have, I select REPLACE MY OTHER OLD lvl69 KINETICIST so it wouldnt send my MAIN MERC AWAY..

I go back to my HO... THE MERC IS WITHOUT ANY ITEMS... I LOST ALL 20DIV WORTHOF ITEMS... WTF is this design???

Why was I robbed??? What is this game design..




edit: After getting the comment about me checking the wrong merc I checked again and my merc was there in my hideout with all the gear... I just had 2x of same skillset mercs, minus the auras i needed and I didnt instantly figure it out.. the merc is alive in my ho with all the gear.. now I need to sell the gear i bought for the wrong merc..

You either removed the wrong Merc or put the gear in your stash?
The game does not "rob" you of your gear.

I did not remove the wrong merc, it was replaced in my map and when I went back into my ho the merc I had was there without any gear on..



edit: OMFG.... I HAD 2xOF THESE MERCS... my god.. its there with the gear.. I just checked the wrong one but because it had almost identical skills and had same 83 level I thought otherwise.. its been a few days now ive been running with a different merc..
