Merc's Aura Overriding Aurabot's Aura

I have this issue with my merc overriding my Aurabot's aura.
We both had Purity of Ice. In my hideout I have capped Cold res, but when I enter the map, my cold res goes down. I've already tested this with a white map with no mods and found out that his aura is taking precedence over mine which causes me to lose cold resistance.
