Question on migrating from Private-league

Currently in a gsf with some friends.

We are aiming to migrate to trade in 3 weeks but are wondering if our mercenaries are able to migrate with us or how that works ... does the merc assigned to the character migrate over ?
Do they not migrate over at all ? -> Do they only migrate over if we play till the Private League ends ?
