Predicitve networking disables mana recovery
My build uses both mana on hit and mana leech, but in the map shown in the video, I repeatedly ran out of mana and couldn't recover it through leech or on-hit effects. This problem only started after I recently switched to predictive networking, so that might be related.
I'm certain this is a bug, because if I re-equip my armor or disable any aura while I'm in this "bugged" state, my mana is instantly restored (but only when I'm unable to gain mana otherwise). Video for reference: https://youtu.be/L2zISp6BwfE?si=UQKlemvc95WHIbyo (Apologies for the rough gameplay.) Last bumped on Jul 6, 2025, 7:57:31 AM

I dunno; I really wish we'd seen more instances of combat.
It's a one-minute video, and about half of it is spent showing us things you could've put in text alongside the post and would presumably be visible through your website profile. I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent... " I get where you’re coming from, and I agree that more combat footage would have been ideal. I actually tried to get more gameplay Today, but the bug seems to be pretty inconsistent, it’s either tied to specific instances or maybe depends on how much strain the server is under. I ran about 10 maps trying to reproduce it, but it just wouldn’t happen again while I was recording. I know the video spends time on things that could be shown in text, but I wanted to make sure I documented everything that might be relevant, since support often assumes the user doesn’t know what they’re talking about unless every detail is spelled out. I get that it’s not the most exciting footage, but I was aiming for thoroughness, not just highlights. If I manage to catch the bug happening again in combat, I’ll definitely update with a better clip. For now, I just wanted to make sure the issue was on record, even if the video isn’t perfect. People have also run into this issue with Life, especially when their unreserved life is very low like your unreserved mana is. Maybe even with Lockstep.
It's not that recovery is disabled, it's a desync sort of issue. Your mana IS fully recovered, so you can't recover it further--but the game client mistakenly believes that you're lower than max, rather than at max. |
