They should be back up in approximately ."Abnormal disconnection" when trying to select certain characters

Many of my characters are unable to login, as soon as it starts to load I get dumped to the login screen with that message.

I've also had this issue since league launch. I have one character I haven't been able to log into in about 10 hours. It says abnormal disconnection every time I try to log into it.
