Monsters called "Reefrend" deals way too much damage with Fissure Torrent.

All this 6k+ damage happened in 1 second. I have 85% cold resistance, capped suppression, etc. I couldn’t find any info about Fissure Torrent, but I guess it's damage over time. Two of these fissures can just instantly kill you before you can react — it’s happened to me before. Most of the time, the screen isn’t clear — you can’t even see the fissures. Plus, the Fissure starts dealing damage even before the Reefrend comes up to the surface. Last bumped on Dec 7, 2025, 8:20:37 PM

+1 to this report I can't find details of "Fissure Torrent", but I've had 90% cold resistance + 75/75 glancing blows block with Aegis Aurora in the video, and I died in a second. This combined with the original reporter make me think that the Fissure Torrent ability might function like Searing Exarch balls - can't block and can't suppress? In any case, this seems like unreasonable amount of damage from a white mob. |

Those spawn from the Cartography of Multitude scarabs and Invasive Adversaries. The mob type is otherwise exclusive to T17 maps.
This is the mob on poeDB: https://poedb.tw/us/Reefrend If you check the 2nd tab you find "CrucibleColdAbyssSlamAtlasUber" which is a 6 burst attack with partial cold conversion (meaning half the damage is phys, and it's base phys). Now, you rolled that map with 149% of phys as extra fire, and given that it doesn't seem like you have high physical mitigation on that build there's a whole lotta damage unaccounted for. Dunno what OP clicked on Eater altars but that can be nasty. Second clip that was posted also has 147% phys as extra fire rolled on the map. Sounded to me like you don't have Melding, so the phys and fire parts will hurt like a bitch. Just some context The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Don't feel bad op, ghazzy was almost in tears about one of tuls attacks that was phys conversion and his ag got rekt with phys as extra and hes been playing the game forever. We all have these moments. Unless you play hc you really have no reason to learn anything either. |
