Softlocked "Abysses in Area must be completed" in a Valdo's map

The abyss pit went straight into a Colosseum's section where the gates are closed until you kill all monster waves. But then I killed all the Abyss monsters before finishing that map's encounter and having no way to go from there the Abyss just poofed, voiding the full map completion.
