Pets placed in hideouts aren't importing

Hello, it appears that pets placed in hideouts aren't importing correctly. When I tried to import my path of exile .hideout file into my hideout, it said 138 doodads couldn't be placed because I didn't own any spares. All of those appears to be pets.

Just now I started from an empty blank hideout, placed some pets, exported the hideout to my path of exile folder, and then tried to import that hideout back into POE. Once again, any pets would not be imported in and the system says it's because I don't own any spares.

All other hideout decorations imported and exported just fine as far as I can tell. Something's wrong with how the game is reading pets in from the .hideout file, apparently.
