Bad lag spikes and constant disconnects

Hey GGG,

Lately I've been getting bad lag spikes and some random disconnects while playing on the Australian gateway.

I ran a WinMTR and here's the log:

From what I can see, the spikes start from my modem and carry through the Aussie Broadband and Globalsecurelayer hops, all the way to the PoE server. No packet loss, but there’s a lot of latency variation — worst cases hit over 160ms.

Already tried:

Restarting modem/router

Wired and wireless

Predictive mode in PoE

Let me know if anything stands out or if it's something on the server side. Cheers!

i too am with aussie broadband and getting unplayable spikes that typically end in being sent back to login screen :/

I wonder if Aussie can help?
I am getting these too, especially at night. I'm with Superloop
Im also with Aussie Broadband and getting the same thing. Random periods of disconnects. Where it will be 1 every 3 seconds after logging in.
Not every day and usually at night.

I have the same lag spikes. I tested every EU proxy. Mainly i play France. In the same time i fully tested my internet connection and found no problems.
+1 in sao paulo server its happening from years... =\
- Thread with suggestions for PoE 1 get more fun and more QoL in next patches (3.27, 3.28...): thread/3812167

- Atlas tree thread improvement: thread/3812454

(English is not my native language, so I apologize for any mistakes!)
Also with Aussie BB, same problem. Ping bounces about from 5ms to 200s or more, every 3-5 seconds, frequent "Unexpected disconnections."

*Update to this: I ended up doing some research, and have just gotten off the phone with Aussie - it's possible to opt out of a setting called CGNAT, which is essentially a way for the ISP to share address space across multiple users. It was pretty simple, just involved change at their end, and then rebooting the NBN box and my router. Have been testing on PoE for an hour ish now, and no more bouncing ping. Can't guarantee it as a fix, but might be worth trying.
