Ran an elder guardian in the Palace map. When I got to the boss arena, there was no boss (Dominus) and no elder siphoning the boss, so no portal to the guardian appeared. Seems to be a bug.

Nevermind, please disregard this post - turns out the portal was at the bottom of the arena (where Dominus usually resurrects)
