Mercenaries chrages sharing?

Hello!! I just wanted to ask if this is a bug or a feature cause idk if this should work like that. Namely when we give to our mercenary conduit gloves which are supposed to share charges with allies, even when he kills a monster he doesn't share charges with me... I even gave him max charges gear cause I thought their charges limits are set to 0? But even after giving it all to my merc: conduit gloves, charge generation implicits from my body armour, annointment from blight on amulet, it still doesn't work...?

Conduit - Share Endurance, Frenzy and Power Charges with nearby party members.

They have said the mercs count as party members, not that specificly, but for other things. There is more mention that they do, than they don't, from official sources (live stream). Correct me if i am wrong though.
