Blade Vortex goes to 11

When I self cast Blade Vortex the stacks go up to 10 and stay there. When I link it with CWDT it goes up to 11, disappears and then restarts at 1. What am I missing here?

This has been an issue for a long time. A very annoying trap to fall into for CWDT players.

I should mention that the last time I encountered this problem I was using triggerbots to trigger BV. Maybe something about the triggerbots double-casting bypasses the limit, which puts the skill effect in an invalid state and ends it. Can anyone here confirm if the issue happens without triggerbots?
