Random instances bricking with high latency

I'm playing on Washington gateway and the latency is usually great (15-20ms) but I'll sometimes switch zones, or enter another portal in maps and there's a slightly longer load-time, and then my ping goes into the thousands. I need to either relog, or exit and reenter the portal/zone to resolve it. Anyone else having this issue? No rollbacks, sometimes DCs/crashes because of it. Really at a loss because my server performance had been perfect all of Settlers and Phrecia.

If you hit Tab when in a 'bad' instance, does it show Washington or a different gateway?

If your preferred location reaches capacity, you'll be sent somewhere else "nearby." I have no idea how GGG determines what may be nearby, but I sure hope they don't enter the delivery business.
I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent...

Unfortunately considered that too, nope, still Washington. Really odd, honestly. Going to try and gather some WinMTR data but otherwise confused. Nothing changed regarding my network between leagues whatsoever.
Same issue with london realm. normaly my network is in the low 20's but when i switch to a map then it sometimes begins to stutter, looking at the statistics i see network go from low 20 in to the 100+ almost everytime something spawns on the map and in extreme cases freeze completely into the 1000's or drop to main login screen (happend twice this weekend)
I also expirienced these latency issues (long green bar in the stats by F1, stop motion) and surprisingly the ping/tracrt from WinMRT info says, there is no network issue. I found in some areas there is high latency and in some there isn't. Moreover, I had high latency spikes in the mine camp, left and returned, and all is fine again. Some areas are unplayable, and I know only after having entered. No fun at all ...
